4" Parafilm M Sealing Film & Petri Dish Tape

Parafilm M is a self-sealing, semi-transparent, flexible, odorless thermoplastic film that provides a waterproof barrier for covering laboratory vessels including petri dishes, jar lids, and more. It is gas permeable with low water permeability and ideal for use in culture applications as it does not affect oxygen or carbon dioxide permeability.

Nontoxic material is resistant to acids, alkalis, alcohols and organic solvents. Moisture proof sealing film stretches up to 200% for a secure fit on irregular-shaped surfaces.

Note: Because it melts quickly when heated, Parafilm M is not safe for use in autoclaves or pressure cookers.
